Liberal Democrat Councillor for Stansted North on Uttlesford District Council and former Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group Learn more
by Alan Dean on 11 June, 2013
The battle is on for the third time to stop employment land in the commercial centre of Stansted being turned over to 14 town houses. Last year we fought off two planning applications from Bellway Homes for 14 houses in a “gated enclave” (their description).
The latest application from Land Charter Stansted Ltd and London and Stansted Furniture offers little improvement for the future vitality of the town centre than last year’s refused application.
Representations can be made here by 12th June; TOMORROW.
Stansted Parish Council’s economic development working group, which I chair, has today submitted this representation to Uttlesford District Council.
UPDATE 20 JUNE: I have received a representation from Barker Parry town planning consultants on behalf of fifty (50) local residents and business people. I am posting it here for information. It can be READ or DOWNLOADED.
