This afternoon the council arranged a consultation with residents of Churchfields, Stansted to improve the environment of the central garden area.

The likely plan is to take down an ugly dividing fence and to install a picnic table. A new tree will be planted to provide shade. Various other ideas were put forward including a gate to make the area safe for children and pets. If all goes to plan, a residents’ association will be formed to take these plans forward.

Cllr Iris Evans and I attended. We may be able to assist with funding from our New Homes Bonus grant scheme.
