This site and the two adjacent sites make up Stansted’s main central area for future business and local service growth. Cramming mostly homes into this site might bring a large financial windfall to the owners but will do little for the economic wellbeing of the village over coming decades. I will make further comments when I have studied the application in detail. The issues to be considered:

1. Does it solve the parking chaos on Cambridge Road and provide access to the adjacent public car park?
2. Does it solve the delivery chaos to the Co-op and Tesco?
3. Does it improve the overall parking shortage?
4. Does it open up the whole area for an appropriate comprehensive redevelopment?
5. Does it take account of the views of the parish council and the other adjacent private landowner to achieve a deliverable comprehensive scheme over the next few years?
6. Is it a “hit and run” application?
